Cuppa Smoke….

Picture this: Watching the morning news, sipping my coffee and suddenly the sounds of bubbling, smoke and the smell of burning plastic. My Cuisinart coffee pot started on fire! Yes, fire. Fortunately this happened while we were home!

In any case, I soon learned that this is a known and very common problem with various models of Cuisinart coffee pots…several families homes have burned down etc. There is an entire website devoted to it www.cuisinartsucks.com

Please take a quick look/read - you’re likely to own one or know someone who does. Some have even smoked when not in use…always unplug!

Anyways- now to deal with getting a new non-Cuisinart coffee pot & getting rid of this putrid stench. Suggestions for either?
