Weekend Recap
Exhausted from a busy day and by a certain toddler who boycotted today’s nap. Ah….finally plopped myself on the couch and relaxing (and set to watch my guilty pleasures- RHONJ, KUWTK & maybe Downton Abbey?!)
We had a fun weekend- Friday night just relaxed in with pizza from Lou’s, Saturday we took the EL to Lakeview (C is super obsessed with the train) & checked oute, Explore and Much More, an indoor playspace. It was fun, less crowded than Little Beans & lots of interesting toys to play with! On our way there, we came across a window display of tutus and ballet slippers. C is OBSESSED with ballerinas (a friend had an Angelina Ballerina themed birthday) and she parades around lifting her leg and trying to walk on her toes. Needless to say, we are enrolling her in classes and picked up a pair of slippers.
Lunch was at Southport Grocery, a place that has been on my list for sometime. Reminds me a bit of Dean & DeLuca and one of my old Manhattan neighborhood haunts, Made Fresh Daily. It didn’t disappoint, super tasty and will def. return! On our way back, we stopped at Candyland to satisfy my Haribo pregnancy cravings!
I decided to finally watch Revenge! Why on earth did I wait so long? Obsessed!!
Today was for catching up on errands, trips to the park and scoping out some recipes for the week. Looking forward to trying Smitten Kitchen’s Baked Orzo with Eggplant and Mozzarella on one of the chillier upcoming days!
